UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA AND FINALLY.........

Good evening! I have got great news.

The UPU results were out this morning. And guess what, I did not get UKM hahaha XD I got Asasi Sains Pertanian in Universiti Putra Malaysia duhhh, do not think that I will learn gardening, farming or something okay. It is just that the university used to be Universiti Pertanian Malaysia in the past. The subjects for Asasi Sains Pertanian is just like any other pure science foundation at other universities. It is just that UPM is still using their old license, so they have not change the course's name. Sadly, UPM does not offer dentistry that leaves me with the only choice that is medicine. Sadly again, I am not interested in becoming a doctor looking at the current situation in Malaysia. People with just 4As and mostly Bs for their science subjects and they get to do medicine or dentistry at private universities and colleges. Also, they tend to do housemanship after their studies at government hospitals and clinics which make the local graduates to compete and suffer to get a job there. This is unfair that is why I made up my mind of not going to UPM. I am also going to reject matriculation as there is even no quality there :(

Just two days before, I attended the Petronas Scholarship Award Ceremony for Petronas Scholars in Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Perak. And BOOM!!!! That place is breath-taking, man. With the greeneries that surround the campus and the world-classed library, JUST WOW MAN WOW!!! I fell in love with UTP and the people there. Most importantly, I find that engineering is quite fascinating and there is a lot to explore, so I have finally made my decision to do chemical engineering in UTP. Huhhh at last, I managed to decide and it is all over now. I will be registering at the university on the 20th of July. So see you there July intakes! Hahahaha bye.

LIFE'S MOURNING

HI YOU GUYS! HERE TO MOURN ABOUT LIFE HAHAHA. I TOLD YOU BEFORE, THAT I GOT THE TEACHER'S TRAINING COLLEGE INTERVIEW. BUT I DID NOT GO FOR IT BECAUSE I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER LOOKING AT THE TEACHER'S PROFESSION NOW IN MALAYSIA, PLUS BOTH MY PARENTS ARE EDUCATORS AND THEY ARE ALWAYS BUSY WITH THIS AND THAT, THAT MADE ME TO COME UP WITH A CONCLUSION THAT I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER AFTER ALL, YUP.

OPPSS SORRY FOR THE CAPS LOCK WHICH IS ON, BUT IT IS REALLY FUN TYPING LIKE THIS HAHA XD

NEXT, THE UPU RESULTS WILL BE OUT NEXT WEEK ON THE 16TH OF MAY! NOT THIS WEEK LIKE IT WAS MENTIONED BEFORE. SPM 2015 LEAVERS WERE FRUSTRATED WHEN THEY HEARD ABOUT THIS, INCLUDING ME HAHA. WE WERE ALL FOOLED BY THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION BUT NAHHHH ITS OKAY, GIMME SOME TIME TO ENJOY MY LIFE TO THE FULLEST FIRST HAHAHA. I REALLY HOPE THAT I WOULD GET UKM BECAUSE....I HAVE GOT NO CHOICE, THAT IS THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE AS THE REST OF THE GOOD COURSES+UNIVERSITIES ARE FOR THE "BUMIPUTERA". SO, WE "NON-BUMIPUTERA" ARE LEFT WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO CHOOSE WHATEVER LEFTOVER UNIVERSITIES AND COURSES AVAILABLE :'(

FOR THE PETRONAS SCHOLARSHIP, I AM STILL THINKING ABOUT IT, IT IS A REALLY GOOD OFFER AND IT IS QUITE DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN THAT SCHOLARSHIP, TOO. EVERYTHING IS SPONSORED, MY PARENTS DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE OUT A SINGLE PENNY, YOU KNOW. HMMM BUT THE COURSE, I NEVER EXPECTED OR NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WILL BECOME AN ENGINEER. NOPE, NEVER HAD THAT THOUGHT BEFORE, BUT DING DONG, I GOT ENGINEERING HAHAHA, SO IT ALL DEPENDS ON MY UPU RESULTS :)

I ALSO GOT MATRICULATION, RIGHT HMM. I THOUGHT OF REJECTING IT BECAUSE MATRICULATION DOES NOT DETERMINE MY FUTURE, AND I HAVE GOTTA STRIVE REALLY HARD TO GET THAT 4 FLAT. ANYWAY, STUDENTS WITH JUST 3A'S CAN ENTER MATRICULATION, SO I FEEL THAT ASASI IS A BETTER CHOICE BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY.

I ALSO APPLIED FOR OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS, BUT I ONLY GOT YAYAZAN KHAZANAH WATAN SCHOLARSHIP SO FAR, BUT I DID NOT GET THROUGH THE ONLINE TEST WHICH IS KIND OF SAD BUT IT IS OKAY, IT IS MY BAD. CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

WELL, BEING A PRE-U STUDENT IS VERY HARD, ACTUALLY. THERE IS A LOT OF THINKING AND PREPARATIONS TO BE DONE. SO, I DEFINITELY HAVE TO THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT EVERYTHING IN ALL ASPECTS AND CHOOSE THE BEST FOR ME. BYE!

ASASI PINTAR UKM- UJIAN SARINGAN UKM2 2016

Hi again folks! I am going to write about my experience attending the interview session held by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia which was for the Asasi Pintar Programme for SPM leavers. This programme is a part of UPU by the Malaysian's Ministry of Education. The interview was not really an interview, it was an online test done on a computer which is called the Ujian Saringan UKM2.

So, I checked my applicaton status on the UKM website on the 15th of April and voila, I was chosen to go for the interview on the 24th of April. There were a few documents that I had to print out. It was not that tough.

And the day came. Just had to present my personal documents and I was set to take the test. There were 15 sections in the test. It was more of an IQ test and there were some simple Maths questions. Calculator usage was prohibited. A 2-hour duration of time was given to complete the test. I only took an hour to finish it. Most of the questions were easy but some were brain-cracking too. There were also general knowledge questions. I could not answer one question. The question was " What is the biggest island in the world?" I was totally clueless, so I answered Indonesia. But tadaaa, I was wrong. The answer was Greenland. I made a fool out of myself hahaha. The rest was just fine. After completing the test, I was headed back home. Didn't really make any friends and didn't get the chance to do so. Because everything was fast. You reach there, present your documents, take your test and go home. The results will be out in the second week of May and that is when all the headache starts because I will have a problem in choosing which course I want.

God, please help me! Hahahaha. Bye!

UJIAN KELAYAKAN CALON GURU 2016

Okay Hi guys! Today I am going to share about my experience of going through Ujian Kelayakan Calon Guru. Hahaha yeah I know, I do not want to and never ever want to become a teacher but I still applied for it. And to my surprise, I was eligible for UKCG held on the 14th of April 2016 in IPGKIK Ilmu Khas, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur because of my excellent SPM results. Oh and to become a teacher in this century in Malaysia, you have to do really well in SPM and get at least As in all subjects. My UKCG session started around 12 noon. As usual, there will be a briefing and then the written test started. There were 100+ questions ( I can't remember the exact number of questions ). And the questions were super easy. Guess what? The examples of questions: 1. Adakah anda seorang yang jujur?  2. Adakah anda rasa seperti mahu mati? LOL the questions were hilarious that I was laughing to my heart's content throughout the exam. The questions were psychological and you have to be really honest when answering the questions. Oh and the time limit to complete the exam is REALLY short so please do it fast and do not waste time. :)

Next, for the part that I really hated the most was the physical test. What do you expect from a bookworm who has never even jumped in her life since form 1 to suddenly run and do sports? HAHAHAHA I ALMOST DIED, JUST KIDDING :P Given briefing again and I was like " Oh no, I am really gonna throw up". But this test will not be a problem for people who exercise regularly. The last time when I exercised was when I attended Taekwondo classes in year 2010 and my body got a terrible shock in 2016 hahaha. The first test was the BMI test (your mass and height is calculated). Then, we had to do push-ups, sit-ups, jangkauan melunjur (I am not sure of the name in English) and last but not least was the annoying bleep test. I almost died in the bleep test, actually XP  My muscles were aching the whole week but it was a really good experience, though. So, to the bakal guru out there, it is not easy to become a teacher in Malaysia anymore. Please be physically fit and academically excellent if you are going to become a teacher hahaha. I am still waiting for my UKCG interview results but I AM STILL NOT GOING TO BECOME A TEACHER HAHAHAHA! Bye humans.

P/s: I passed UKCG and am now eligible to attend the interview on the 10th of May. Hmm should I go? We'll see....

PETRONAS YOUNGSTARS DAY 2016

Hi humans, I am back! How are you all? Okay, I have got something going on in my life and I want to share it with you guys. I had told you before that I got straight A's for my SPM. And I applied for the PETRONAS SCHOLARSHIP. I was like ''nah, I won't get it, it is a tough competition, but I will just apply for it". And voila, I received a SMS on the 21st of March around 5.15 pm saying that I was shortlisted for the PETRONAS YOUNGSTARS DAY 2016 (PYD 2016). I was squealing with joy when I saw that, so I started making preparations for the day. Then I had to login to the Petronas website and I was invited to come to KDU University College, Shah Alam on the 4th of April on a Monday from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm. Wow, what a lengthy duration it was right. I was also asked to, in the invitation form, to print out the joining instruction, questionnaire & assessment information for applicants PYD 2016 and the parking ticket. So the future PYD programme applicants, you can all read my experience and feel free to ask any questions. I will be really glad to help you out.

Okay, first, let me tell you about this Petronas scholarship. It is a sponsorship given to students with excellent SPM results, active in co-curricular activities and possess good leadership skills. It provides students to do their foundation either in Universiti Teknologi Petronas or overseas before they could pursue their Bachelor of Degree. I applied for the UTP foundation as I am a bit of a clingy-to-my family type hahaha. So, if this sponsorship is given to you, later when you are working for Petronas, you don't have to pay the loan and so forth. If it's vice versa, where you crossed the bridge and not working with Petronas, the loan has to be paid. COMPULSARY!! I asked for the chemical engineering programme whereas my ambition was to become a dentist. But yeah, they are two different things right. Unfortunately, Malaysia is on money crisis which forces me to grab any career opportunities that are available and not to complain hmmmm.

So, on the 4th of April, I woke up really early in the morning at 4 am, washed up and wore an office wear ( a white blouse with a black blazer on top, black slack pants, black shoes with skin socks and tied my hair into a ponytail). This kind of an attire will attract people, that is what my father said and it is true. I was quite smartly dressed on that day. Moved outta house at 5 am. My father drove me there and reached around 6 am with the help of GPS hahaha. Then I had to nap in the car because the event only started at 7.30 am but we reached way too early haha. I didn't eat my breakfast, I was too nervous even to drink water hahaha.

At 7.30, we walked towards the main building, and my father and I were separated. My dad was asked to go for the PESP briefing while I were to go to the main hall for my whole day activity briefing. When I was in the hall, I quickly made friends as I didn't want to be lonely. Soon, I made friends with a few people such as Yootha, Adam, Tan, Anisa, Qistina, Aisyah and a few people who I can't remember their names. I was quite shocked with myself as I was not the type to socialize and make friends easily. But then I  realised puberty changed me a lot hahaha. Firstly, we had to present our IC, the original documents and CTC documents at the registration counter. Don't worry about these. All these will be informed in your joining letter, you just have to follow the instructions. Then, we were given breakfast( Mighty White's ikan bilis bun, an apple and mineral water). I didn't really eat , I already told you the reason before, nervousness was killing me hahaha. But talking to my new friends helped me in easing that feeling a lot XD. Then, we were given the briefing.

Next around 9 am, we were brought to the computer labs for the assessments. First was the Cambridge Personal Styles Questionnaire (CPSQ). It was kind of a personality test and it was really easy, as easy as ABC hahaha. Given 45 minutes to answer the questions, but I only took around 20 minutes to answer. Next, was the Thinking Skills Assessment(TSA). This was kinda hard, 40 questions to answer in 90 minutes time. But I was confident that I did my best. Oh, I also visited KDU's toilets and they were super clean. You could even sleep there hahaha. The tests finished at 12 noon. We were given lunch (chicken rice of Malay Style and mineral water) and the original docs were returned to us. And time for the results for successful candidates who can go for Phase 2, the interview part was to be announced. Phewww, luckily I got through and my dad was so happy for me. Oh and my father was staying at the KDU campus the whole day, Pity my father :(

I was given my group number. I was in group B09-4. But I didnt know who were my teammates until we had to go for the interview. We were brought into the holding room and voila, there were only 5 of us in the room. And out of a sudden, people were filling the room and it became a 100 of us in the room hahaha. I still didn't get to meet my teammates at that time until they called us group by group. There were five of us in group B09. They were Xi Yin, Arifah, Raja and Hariz. And they were all very fluent in their English. Then we were escorted to another room and given our case study there. It was quite challenging as the case study was something related to bussiness but I just gave my all to it. I have come so far and I had to ace this. Given 15 minutes to crack our heads for ideas and yeah. After that, my group was called. We asked our names and so on. And the interview started. For our batch, there was no individual interview, there was only individual sharing. Where we were all seated in a group and asked to present our ideas each for 5 minutes. And when that was over, we were asked to do a group discussion for 30 minutes and come up with the best idea for our case study and present it for 15 minutes in a group. This was the toughest part of all. But I managed myself to talk and ask for opinions. And then, it was over. Our interviewers were ladies, they were once Petronas scholars, WOW!! They were friendly, too and they don't eat you. You are free to ask them any questions regarding their careers and Petronas. Once my group was out of the interview room, we were taking wefies and exchanged phone numbers and all hahaha. We were also given tea break( muffin, banana and mineral water) and this time I had appetite to eat as it was all over. And yeah, my day ended like that with a happy ending. It was a really exhausting day, I was completely fagged out, my legs felt like breaking but the experience was worth the time. I made new friends, socialized, sat for difficult assessments that I passed successfully and was interviewed in a group which was all new and memorable to me. What else could I ask for? XD. Thank you to my father who sacrificed his time and energy for me and my mother who supported me profusely all the way to this. This day will be always close to my heart.

p/s: I haven't got my results for the Petronas Scholarship yet, will be informed soon yeah.

new p/s: I received the 100% petronas scholarship to do chemical engineering  at a local university. Future engineer hahaha but i want to become a dentist lol lets wait and see what comes first hmm

ALL ABOUT ME BUT NOT REALLY EVERYTHING HAHAHA

Hello peeps! I have always wanted to write blogs and only now I managed to write one. First of all, let me introduce myself first(like every typical human being do). You guys can address me Nanthene Ravi(it is not my full name though). I am 18 and free to go into cinemas to watch any movies I want hahahaha XD I am from Selangor, Malaysia. KL is nothing to me. It is only a 30 minutes drive from my home sweet home. I live with my parents and younger sister. They are everything to me. I have a few best friends but they all went to different schools when we were in secondary school. Then I had this friend since form 1, we were in the same class. And at last in form 5, I learnt that she was a backstabber as usual what every innocent teen like me have to go through haha.

Okay I would like to stop talking about my goddamnit friend for now as I would be really tensed hahah. My hobbies (the typical geek activity-reading) and playing the piano. I play songs pretty well. I am like the pro in playing My Heart Will Go On from Titanic XD I like singing too, so if you come to my house, you can hear me screeching on top of my voice singing the latest songs hahaha. Why only now I am writing a blog? Well any common answer a student will give, I was busy studying lol especially for SPM, i was studying like a lunatic hahaha. And I managed to get straight A's (7A+ and 2A). My vision was to achieve straight A+ but sadly, I couldn't. But who cares? I got straight As maa.. It is something to be proud of, not everyone can obtain results like that. And most importantly, my parents are happy for me. That is just sufficient for me because they have sacrificed a lot, yeah i mean A LOT, A LOT okay.. hahaha

I like visiting blogs of others so they kinda like inspired me to write my own. So, voila, here I come hahaha. I would be posting a lot after this, my experiences, my holidays, my daily life and stuff like that. Please endure my nonsense yeah haha. I think that is all for now. Because I have gotta watch my fav korean drama, " The Return of Hwang Geum Bok" hahaha. I have been following this drama since last year, hmm i think from December 2015. And not to forget, I am a die hard fan of Running Man haahahahaha I watch it just to get a glimpse of Kwangsoo and Gary hahaha. I like all the other RM members too.<3 Okay, bye for now. More blogs await you! hahaha ciao! :)))
